Core Focus

  • Leadership

Is a leader born or made? In my opinion, it is a combination of both. While some may possess natural leadership qualities, true leadership is cultivated through experience, dedication, and a commitment to growth. It is often spoken about as if everyone possesses it, regardless of tenure or position but genuine leadership is defined by actions, not titles.

My dedication to leadership drives me to consistently set meaningful goals for myself and my team. At our core, PGA Professionals embody responsibility, accountability, and service. We are great listeners, mentors, and advocates for the game and those we serve. We lead with persistence and integrity, understanding that the strongest leaders foster a culture of trust. By embracing these principles, we not only elevate our profession but also strengthen the future of our association and the golf industry as a whole.

  • Strategy

My mission is rooted in a member first philosophy, where every decision begins with supporting the success and advancement of our PGA Professionals. As we navigate a rapidly evolving landscape, our strength lies in our ability to innovate while reinforcing the PGA Professional’s role as the heartbeat of the game.

By understanding how the many moving parts of our industry intersect. From social impact and community engagement to player development and business operations, we can anticipate future trends rather than simply react to them. This proactive approach ensures our members remain essential to the continued growth of the game.

As your Secretary, I am committed to listening, advocating, and leading with purpose. Together, we will lead from a position of strength, securing and advancing our standing as leaders in the game of golf.

  • Employment

Employment is the common thread that unites all PGA Members and serves as the foundation of our Association. Through our profession, we support ourselves, our families, and our communities. Whether you are a head professional, associate, coach, course owner, or general manager, you understand the breadth and diversity of career opportunities within our industry.

My experience as a Section Employment Chair and a member of the National Employment Committee, along with my efforts to support and enhance ExecuSearch, represent a cornerstone of my board service.

As an officer, I am committed to expanding the scope and effectiveness of the EXS program. By supporting our exceptional consultants in the field and developing forward-thinking strategies, we can strengthen employment services and create meaningful opportunities for all members.

Larry Kelley gave me an opportunity in 2017 when he hired me as the Territory Sales Manager for Massachusetts at Five Star Golf Cars & Utility Vehicles. From day one, Larry mentored me and invested in my professional growth. He is a true professional who not only taught me how to succeed in sales, but also how to approach the role with integrity and a genuine commitment to the people you serve.
